7 Ideas of How to Donate Your Time
You can make a difference in the lives of those suffering from hunger, whether by tutoring children about nutrition, providing information technology services to a food bank, or stocking shelves at a food pantry.

Here are seven ideas on how to get involved.
  1. Check out RAH's event listings and see what organizations are looking for help.

  2. Plan an event with others in your department or student organization.

  3. Spend part of a day restocking shelves at a food bank or soup kitchen.

  4. Approach a community organization looking for assistance with graphic design, information technology, or another area in which you have expertise.

  5. Develop an internship or research project with a focus on hunger or food-related issues.

  6. Look to community organizations for opportunities to volunteer to teach children or others about nutrition and healthy food choices.

  7. Contact rah@rutgers.edu for more ideas or to help find the right contacts for volunteering.
